I am always on the lookout for chart correlations. I have come up with some that I will put forward for your consideration. I came up with these ideas upon sharing my favorite comedian with friends. He is Sascha Baron Cohen. You may know him as Ali G, Bruno or Borat. When I was introduced to him from my Cancer Sun, Gemini Venus and Virgo Moon Aunt, I was enchanted. I fell in love and have been in love ever since.
In my enthusiasm, I wanted to share him with friends. To my great surprise, some people did not crack a smile. Some people looked at it as if I was perverted. That was not too comfortable but I always look for the astrological reasons behind all things. That is the basis for this article. I will share my insights. Jump in with your own. You know I love them.
I think that one’s Venus sign shows one’s sense of humor. One’s Venus sign shows what one love and what one appreciates. Humor is an art form, similar to any other art form such as music. Each person has very unique likes and dislikes when it comes to art. I cannot comment on every Venus because I have not had experience with every Venus, in terms of humor. I will comment on the ones I know.
Gemini Venus
Gemini Venus has a raw sense of humor. He likes practical jokes. He likes subtle. crazy twists on words. Most especially, he has the humor of a child. Think about what children laugh about. Gemini Venus will be right there in the middle of the circle, roaring.
Cancer Venus
Cancer Venus has an odd sense of humor, to me. One, always, sees out of one’s own lens. Cancer Venus seems to laugh at inane things, in terms of not subtle intellectual humor. Perhaps, I could describe it as simple slapstick
Leo Venus
Leo Venus seems to have a raw sense of humor, in the manner of Gemini Venus
Virgo Venus
Stop, Drop and Roll when it comes to this Venus. It does not like raw humor. It can see the places in which social niceties don’t make sense and can laugh at these. Nix the bathroom humor and off color humor. Don’t say I didn’t tell you!
Libra Venus
Libra Venus is the same as Virgo Venus. Stay high in the intellectual stratosphere and your Libra Venus will like you. If not, he will be looking with scorn while you roll on the floor.
Scorpio Venus
Scorpio Venus has a raw sense of humor in the manner of Gemini and Leo
Sagittarius Venus
This Venus has a raw sense of humor in the manner of Gemini, Leo and Scorpio.
Aquarius Venus
I have seen a mixed bag with this one, so cannot comment.
Pisces Venus
This seems to be a fun, romantic, flirty kind of Venus. He seems to like plays on words like the Gemini Venus.

This is Nick’s question. Nick is an amazing person and I will try to answer. Mercury in the 3rd House would be a person who needs to communicate. This native could not have a relationship without simpatico. He, also, desires self expression. For some people, it is more important than to others. The 3rd House is Gemini’s House. Geminis need to communicate in the same way that humans need to breathe air. I am a Gemini. Self expression is my top personal need.When I express myself, I am happy. This expression can be written, verbal or even creative such as singing and playing an instrument. The expression must be authentic. A Gemini with a socially appropriate, politically correct mask will be a very unhappy person. The key phrase for Gemini and Mercury in the 3rd House is that authentic communication makes for happiness.
Mercury in the 12th is a horse of a different color. This native fears communication. Every living being craves intimacy. Authentic communication is the foundation for intimacy. The 12th House native is scared to death of saying the wrong thing. This native may hem and haw before he, even, takes a chance on expressing an opinion. He may have been humiliated for expressing opinions. Any planet in the 12th gets suppressed. The native develops a fear of sharing himself in the domain of the planet. For Mercury, it is communication.
What can a 12th House Mercury do to remedy this? The Astrologer must look for compensating factors in his chart. For a 12th House Mercury, Jupiter in the 3rd House would be one compensating factor, for an example.

This is a wonderful new question I just got on my Comment Form. Please, keep your questions coming. It is so much fun for me to see what interests people. I want to write articles that you like. That is the fun part for me. With that said, let’s talk about name asteroids. I talk from my experience doing charts. When I do a natal or a synastry, I ask the client to give me the top five names or places that are significant. The reason I love Astrology so much is that it shows the order of the Universe. It shows that God made each person with a unique plan.
I will tell you some stories from charts I have done. One girl, who is a best selling author, was raped by her brother. This incident, as well as other family abuse, gave her great insight into the mind of the abuse victim. She is a brilliant writer, along the lines of a John Grisham. Her brother’s name was conjunct her MC. The MC is the career point in the chart. Also, the state in which she was abused was prominent in her chart, as well. I can’t remember the actual placement.
Another girl had the name of her home town conjunct her Sun.
In another case, a person had an online handle. She joined an online group that changed her life. She chose the handle because it seemed as if she had to be this name in this situation. She spent a year in the online group and it changed her life. Just for fun, she looked up the online handle name and it was conjunct her Mercury, exact. This situation showed me that God is in the details. All the name and place asteroids show this but some seem more fascinating than others.
It is not rare for the name of the beloved to be prominent in the chart of the native. It if, often, conjunct the DSC. The Descendent is the point of the partner in the natal chart. It is not rare for the name of the partner to conjunct the Sun or Venus.
I have seen the name of one’s mother conjunct the vertex. The vertex is the point in the natal which shows what OTHERS will bring to you. In this case, his mother was very significant. The Anti- vertex is what you will bring to others. For example, one client was upset that she had Nessus conjunct her vertex and called on me to ask about this. Nessus is the asteroid of abuse. She would not be an abuser but others would bring abuse to her. That is how the vertex and anti vertex work.
I know that I have many other name asteroid stories but they are escaping me, at the moment.

How do I make sense of the Dejanira Asteroid in my chart?
This is a reader’s question and a great one.. Dejanira is the asteroid of the victim. Each person has each and every asteroid. The difference is in the prominence. A prominent Dejanira will make for abuse. People get angry when I am so definite? What do you want me to do, cloud everything until my article becomes the kind of mush that dominates the field of Astrology? Not me, I will call it as I see it. The reader is free to read or not, but I will not succumb to political correctness.
With that out of the way, let’s get started. Dejanira is Asteroid Number 157. One can find it by adding the number 157 under the extended chart option on Astro.com. There are many ways to derive information from the placement of Dejanira. First of all, any asteroid that touches PERSONAL parts of the chart is personal. This may seem self explanatory. The personal parts of the chart are as follow—The Ascendent, Descendent, MC, IC, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars. Saturn, Jupiter and Chiron are not considered personal planets, so I would put them on a secondary level. Neptune, Pluto and Uranus are generational planets, so would be on a tertiary level. Hence, if Dejanira conjuncts any personal part of the chart at 3 degrees or less, one has a prominent Dejanira. I will add something else here. The Child Asteroid(Number 4580) seems to be a powerful indicator of one’s childhood. When Dejanira conjuncts the Child Asteroid, abuse, always, seems to occur.
So, one must ascertain the location of the Dejanira Asteroid with respect to one’s personal planets. Dejanira seems to make for more of a victim when it touches passive planets such as the Moon and Venus. The Ascendent seems to be a particularly hard placement for Dejanira, as well. I would rank the Dejanira placements, in terms of difficulty as follows. The hardest placement is Dejanira conjunct the Moon. Second would be Dejanira conjunct the Ascendent. Third may be Dejanira conjunct Venus. In the case of Dejanira conjunct the Moon, I have seen Borderline Personality Disorder in almost all cases. If one does not have BPD, one has sustained severe childhood abuse, usually sexual. This is my experience working with hundreds of charts.
Dejanira conjunct the Sun seems to bode for a life of being a victim but it does not seem to cut as deeply as the above placements. The same seems to hold true for Mars and Mercury. The Sun and Mars are what is called active planets. This is what the Chinese call yang planets. Hence, the person does not seem to take the victim mentality as deeply. However, Dejanira conjunct any personal planet may set the native down the path of victim hood through no fault of her or his own. One must remember that when dealing with Dejanira or any other astrological placement. The person did not choose his chart. He has the power to respond, only. All charts can be overcome by God, too.
Back to Dejanira. I don’t look too closely at Dejanira by House. This is due to the fact that asteroids assume prominence when in exact conjunctions and other aspects such as trines and square, but less so than the conjunctions. Conjunctions are always the strongest aspects. Let’s look, a bit, at Dejanira by house. The 1st house may bode for one to be a victim more than any other house. The reason is that we wear our 1st house on our sleeve. Any planet or asteroid that resides in the 1st house will be part of our outer apparel. Hence, with Dejanira in the 1st house, one may have the air of being a victim.Dejanira in the 12th House would, likely, be a person who hides the victim part of himself. This native may even victimize others because he is suppressing his own victim nature. Dejanira in the 7th may be a person who is victimized in marriage. Dejanira in the 10th may be a person who is victimized in his job or by society, in general. Dejanira in the 11th may be a person who is victimized in groups. This is not a look at every house but just an idea of how Dejanira may behave in the houses.
Dejanira would, also, play a large role if conjunct the North Node. In fact, I should have added this to the personal placements because it is one of the most personal. The NN is one”s purpose. Hence, any asteroid which conjuncts the NN will show one’s purpose. With Dejanira, one will learn the lessons of being a victim. Hopefully, one can transmute the lessons into helping others. However, this will not happen until one masters them on one’s own.
Dejanira conjunct the Vertex and the Anti-vertex are prominent points, also. Dejanira conjunct the Vertex means that victims will come to you. Dejanira conjunct the Anti-Vertex means that you will come to others as a victim.

This is another great question, this time from Lesley. My first thought was to look at the natal chart. However, my second thought was to talk about synastry. There are certain aspects in synastry that can make the most mild mannered among us become a stalker. I exaggerate a bit but I hope you get the point. There are some aspects which make one obsessed. Nessus and Dejanira are classic for obsession. I can go so far as to say that I always see obsession when they are prominent in synastry. Moon/Pluto makes for obsession, as does Venus/Pluto. Remember that orbs are key. Close orbs are much more powerful.
Let’s look at the natal charts because there are some people who are more likely to be stalkers. My first thought would be Pluto. Pluto rules our primal passions. Stalking is about as primal as one can get. Hence, the chart of a stalker would, likely, be very strong in Pluto. Strength of Pluto can be shown in a variety of ways. One is Pluto conjunct the two outer manifesting angles–The Ascendent and the MC. Any native with Pluto conjunct the Ascendent or MC will be a person of power.
Another fascinating Pluto placement is the Unaspected Pluto. This native was born to learn the lesson of wielding power. I am not saying that Putin has an Unaspected Pluto but he would be a classic example of someone who did. I am not saying the Unaspected Pluto will be a stalker. However, he will be compelled to learn how to manipulate power.
A native strong in Scorpio placement would more likely be a stalker. In particular, the Sun, Ascendent, Mercury or Mars in Scorpio because these are more active planets. The passive planets are the Moon and Venus. Hence, the Moon and Venus would be more likely to obsess rather than act.
To be a stalker, one would likely have a strong Mars because Mars shows strength of drive. A weak and impotent Mars, such as Cancer, would not, likely, stalk. The strong Mars signs are Scorpio, Aries and Capricorn. Capricorn would more likely stalk a good business deal. Aries would more likely stalk a good cause, so we have Scorpio.This is my favorite Mars because he is so darn intense when he is in love.
House wise, we would look at the 8th House. Planets residing in the 8th House get repressed. The native with many planets in the 8th is said to mature late. The 8th House can be seen as a pressure cooker because what is repressed has the danger of coming out sideways. Hence, a repressed Pluto could fly out of his cage and who knows what may happen. Venus in the 8th house tends to be very intense when in love. If one has Venus in Scorpio in the 8th house, one can amp the intensity. If one has Pluto conjunct Venus in the 8th house, we have a person who gets totally obsessed when in love, through no fault of his own.
We cannot choose our charts. We can just try to make the best of what we were given.

Lesley had another wonderful topic. Unrequited love has certain markers in the charts. An Astrologer can look at a synastry chart and tell you what each person is feeling. This is one of the questions I get most often. To see what one person feels, the Astrologer should focus on his moon, first and foremost. One’s Moon is one’s heart. One’s Moon is one’s inner child. Falling in love is child to child. Hence, falling in love is Moon to Moon. I am talking about soul here, the kind one has with one’s best friend. I am not talking about passion. That is other aspects, which I will address shortly.
Back to the Moons. Without Moon connections, the relationship will have no soul. Hence, if a client brings me a chart with one person’s moon unaspected to the other person, I see no future for the relationship.By unaspected, I mean that the Moon of one person makes no aspects to the chart of the other person. In these cases, neither person seems to understand the other. I am sure you can imagine how this would feel in a marriage.
I, always, watch the charts in everything I do. If I have a relationship, any relationship, I see how the charts play out. If you have ever found yourself at a cocktail party, stuck in the corner with someone who does not understand you, that is how it would feel with an Unaspected Moon in synastry.
The Unaspected Sun in synastry works the same way. With the Unaspected Sun, it has a different slant. In this case, the two do not understand the motives of one another, as opposed to the hearts of each other, as is the case with the Moons.
While we are talking about Unaspected Planets in synastry, we may as well examine some of the others. An Unaspected Venus in synastry has a different slant. In this case, the partner will have different tastes. This would extend to all aspects of life from music to clothes to cars to home furnishings. With the Unaspected Venus, the sensibilities would be similar to Oscar and Felix in the Odd Couple. Oscar would throw his napkin behind the sofa and Felix would come back with a dustpan. It was forever thus and that is what happens with the Unaspected Venus in synastry.
With the Unaspected Mercury in synastry, one would not resonate with the communication style of the other. I think of some humor I find hilarious while the other person is deadpan. That would be an example of the Unaspected Mercury in synastry.
With the Unaspected Mars in synastry, the drives would be different. One’s drives encompass a wide range from passion to career goals. In this case, there would not be an understanding of what made the other person “tick”
So, when you are doing your own synastries, check for any planet of one person which makes no aspects to the chart of the other and you will have a major understanding of the relationship in one fell swoop.
